The White House and U.S. Capitol both lowered flags to half-staff in tribute to the five U.S. service members who were killed in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

President Obama ordered all American flags on all public and military ground to remain at half-staff until sunset on Saturday. 

Flags outside of the Lubbock County Courthouse have been flying at half-staff since Monday. County Judge Tom Head said he authorized the tribute to honor the victims of the shootings.
